Owning something, such as a car, as a teenager is a privilege. Being a teenager makes some of us not very responsible with keeping track of our stuff and getting our work done for school. In order to show you are able to own and take care of something, you need to earn your parent’s trust. For every parent it is hard to give their child keys to a car because it gives the child more freedom to do want they want. Your parents giving you the keys shows that they think you are responsible enough to own a car.

In my photo, I am showing a parent giving their daughter keys to their own car. The daughter is smiling to show she is overjoyed that her mom finally thinks she is responsible enough to drive. Her parent has a soft smile to show that she is worried but happy that her daughter is able to have responsibility of owning her own car.
